Hello folks, Friday is somehow already upon us once again. I’ve spent the week gathering a list of last-minute internships and fellowships for this summer, as well as for the fall so you can get a headstart for your post-summer plans.

The list is rather long and due to Substack’s limitations on email lengths, I’ve created a separate web page with them all on. So apologies for the extra step there. If you do happen to apply to any openings listed, be sure to mention that you found them from Inside The Newsroom — that way we can continue to grow etc etc!

In other news, I was sad to see the resignation of Meredith Clark from the News Leaders Association’s diversity survey project. Meredith had led the survey since 2018, and this year the NLA said it wanted participation from at least 2,500 print and online newsrooms, but announced it had received reponses from just 303. We’ll hopefully have a Q&A on what happened with Meredith very soon.
