Hello folks and happy Friday! Absolutely beautiful sunny day here in London town, and I’m about to clock out for the week and enjoy an ice cold Guinness. Lovely.
In other news, there was another spate of layoffs in a number of newsrooms this week. If you know someone who was part of that and/or is already unemployed, please email me their names/email addresses and we'll sort them out with a free period of access to the job board and other premiums services we offer — resume/cover letter help and access to the Candidate Board. I’m at daniellevitt32@gmail.com.
In today’s newsletter, we added another handful of journalism awards, conferences, events and fellowship deadlines below, including the SND’s Best Of News Design awards, Poynter’s 2023 Leadership Academy for Diversity in Media, and the Aziz Foundation Scholarships.
Also check out Monday’s newsletter where we added another huge round of new openings, and dug a little into the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project’s 2022 Year in Review.
Housekeeping: If you’re looking to become a paid subscriber, you can do so at any of the below links, with each option including a free seven-day trial.
If you're an employer or recruiter and have an opening you want to promote now or in the future, or you have an upcoming event or conference, fill out this form and we'll get right back.
And lastly, join 200 members on our Candidate Board if you want to cut the crap in getting hired, or doing the hiring.
We'll see eachother again next week. Until then check out our special featured jobs at Boardroom, Reach Plc, Politico Europe and New York University.
