✍️✍️ Awards, Conferences, Events and Fellowship Deadlines ✍️✍️ — February 24
Remembering Dylan Lyons; New Awards, Conferences, Events and Fellowship Deadlines
Hello folks! Happy Friday and welcome to another edition of Inside The Newsroom, home of the world's largest curated journalism jobs board.🤘
In today’s edition, we’ll feature some of the best journalism awards, conferences, events and fellowships, whose deadlines are approaching in the next couple months. This week we added another handful to put us at 29 postings.
Before we get to them, we have some incredibly sad news out of Orlando. On Wednesday, Spectrum News 13 reporter Dylan Lyons was fatally shot while covering another fatal shooting that occurred earlier in the day. Spectrum News 13 photo journalist Jesse Walden was critically injured — Jesse is thankfully out of surgery and making a recovery in hospital. A nine-year old was also killed in the incident, and her mother critically injured.
Rarely does something like this happen so close to home for us. Today I am thinking of all those involved, and remembering the life of Dylan Lyons.
Some quick housekeeping and then I’ll let you be…
Each week we include a few handfuls of jobs for free in our twice-weekly newsletter. If you want to access more than 2,000 active openings across the U.S., UK, Canada and Europe, click on any of the buttons below. Each option comes with a free seven-day trial. 👍
If your organization is hiring, fill out this form and we’ll do our best to help promote your openings.
If you’re one of our amazing subscribers, join our Candidate Board to cut the hours and applications and have employers come to you directly.
And also be sure to read our Monday’s newsletter where we added another huge batch of new openings. We also looked into the Twitter Files — what they are, why the lack of media coverage and what’s next?
Check out all of our deadlines below, including at Reach who have a ton of postings ending tonight! Have nice weekends and I’ll speak to you again on Monday.
