Daniel’s Birthday
31% subscription discount plus read Daniel’s reflections of another year in the books
Hello folks! As this newsletter’s title informs, today is indeed my birthday. Thirty-one bloody years. Wow. When you think about how much happens in a single day, let alone 365 of them, it really is crazy to think I’ve now been on this planet for 31 years, or 11,322 days.
Last year I wrote from a blowup mattress on my friend’s floor in Denver about how I felt not having the things I expected to have by the time I turned 30 — a wife, a house, a well-paid job etc — yet the simplicity of waking up to sunshine in the presence of my friends was enough to make me smile.
The reality is that there are no milestones, only meaningless expectations we arbitrarily place on ourselves. Over the past 12 months I’ve continued to focus on what really matters in my life, and strip away as much of the bullshit. That is of course no small task, because let’s be honest, there’s an endless amount of noise and nonsense that distracts us from what’s natural and important. That said, how we respond to internal and external conflict is and will always be up to us.
Anyway, I prefer to give gifts rather than receive them, so it’s to my delight that I can offer a juicy 31% off annual subscriptions for the first year. That’s a saving of more than $15 and it also comes with a free-seven day trial to see if the job board is for you.
Use the code DANIEL31 at checkout. On desktop you should see where to enter the code on the left-hand side. On mobile, there should be a drop down menu under “Details” in the top-right. Any questions just email me at daniellevitt32@gmail.com.
A quick reminder that as it is birthday week, I’m indulging in as much cheese, chocolate and wine in Marseille, so the next newsletter will be on March 10. And on March 13 we’ll discuss a recent MunkDebate on the motion “Be it resolved, don’t trust mainstream media.” The job board will be populated as normal, so do check that on Monday and beyond.
Until then, have great weeks and a sincere thank you as ever for your continued support and for making my dreams a reality.
Peace and love 🙏🤘
