✍️ Journalism Jobs and Media News Update ✍️ — January 9
Media Salaries Database; 518 new journalism jobs and internships; January 50% discount off paid subcriptions; Media news roundup
Hello folks! Welcome to the first Tuesday newsletter of 2024! If there was ever a bumper edition, today is the day. Let’s get straight to it…
Media Salaries Database and New Jobs and Internships
First up, I am thrilled to launch the Inside The Newsroom Media Salaries Database! With a total of 5,585 salaries from jobs posted in 2023, you can now see what jobs in audience, audio, broadcast, data viz, design, editing, photo, product, reporting, social media, strategy and video are paying. Whether you want to find out where the best-paid jobs are, or to negotiate your next salary, use the data to get ahead.
This morning I also added 518 new journalism jobs and internships, and cleaned out the dead links, meaning we have a total of just over 1,000 openings. It’s not our usual total, but that’s down to the winter break and we’ll be back closer to 1,250 very soon.
