Non-major market journalism jobs; Résumé and cover letter help
Hello folks and another happy Tuesday! Hope everybody had lovely weekends — I had my first weekend softball tournament of the summer and my god it reminded me how five games in two days is insane and terrible for the body.
So in between stretching all day yesterday, I managed to upload around 500 new listings to the job board. This week’s focus is on the non-major markets in the U.S. and UK, so if the big city isn’t it, we still have plenty of openings for you.
Here’s a reminder of everything you receive with a paid subscription starting from just $6/£5:
1,500 journalism jobs all in one place.
Membership to the Candidate Board so employers find you directly.
Résumé and cover letter feedback.
And recruiters: If you’re an employer with an opening you want to promote now or in the future, fill out this quick form.
Despite summer approaching, the job market never stops. So next week I’ll be focusing on how to recreate your résumé and cover letter to make sure you stand out from the rest of the field.
Until then, take a look at our Archive Corner below for other helpful resources and tips. And also take a look at what our alumni have said about how Inside The Newsroom has helped them land a new job.
That’s all for today. I’ll see you again on Friday for another update to our Journalism Awards, Events, Fellowships and Deadlines Calendar!
