Happy Monday everybody, hope everyone had fabulous weekends. A few short things to go through today and then we’ll get out of here and start the week!
Let’s begin with our annual list of internships which we launched on Friday. We gathered more than 400 active openings, many of which have deadlines fast approaching, and is completely free to access.

Okay, let’s get to this week’s grants, trainings and contests. Our friends at the Association of Women in Sports Media will award $1,000 scholarships and an internship at the likes of Sports Illustrated and Sporting News to several female students in the U.S. The deadline to apply is October 16.
The International Center for Journalists is offering journalists covering the 2022 midterm elections for Latinx audiences training on digital security. The training will be in Spanish and English and will take place in mid-late October. Those who participate in the trainings will also be eligible for an in-person training in spring 2023 in Washington, D.C. Apply by October 12.
The Pulitzer Center is offering grants for proposals that use advanced data mining techniques, such as machine learning and natural language processing, to solve a data or reporting problem related to a journalistic investigation. Anybody around the world can apply, and most awards in the past have been between $10,000-$25,000.
The folks at Investigative Journalism for Europe are offering cash prizes totalling €15,000, to celebrate the best investigative journalism carried out by teams collaborating across borders in European Union member states and EU candidate countries. Deadline to apply is November 12.
And lastly, the London School of Economics has launched a fabulous free JournalismAI Starter Pack, which aims to help news organizations learn about the opportunities offered by AI to support their journalism.
