✍️ Journalism Awards, Events and Fellowships Deadlines ✍️ — June 2
45 journalism awards, events and fellowship deadlines
Hello folks, it’s that time of the week again. Each Friday we find more and more awards, events and fellowships, and I’m thrilled to say today we have a record 45 listings! I’m always looking to improve what we feature, so please do get in touch with specific areas and topics to track.
As I mentioned in Monday’s jobs update, next week we’ll look into how to make our résumé stand out from the rest of the field. Inside The Newsroom also turned five years old this past week, and I still can’t believe I get to do this for a living. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me. We’re only just getting started.
Yesterday was the beginning of meteorological summer, which means the sun block is out and vacations have been booked. But don’t be fooled. Just because things slow down, doesn’t mean the job market stops. In fact, now is the time to take advantage of everybody else’s complacency and push ahead.
To help, we will be updating the job board with around 500 new jobs each and every Tuesday. Here’s a reminder of everything you receive with a paid subscription starting from just $6/£5 per month or $49/£40 for the year:
1,500 total journalism jobs all in one place.
Membership to the Candidate Board so employers find you directly.
Résumé and cover letter feedback.
And if you’re an employer with an opening now or later this summer, fill out this quick form and we’ll help you promote them.
That’s all for me this week. We’ll speak again on Monday! 🌊☀️
